Mountaineering

Guided alpine climbs to most major mountain ranges throughout the United States, with special focus on the Wyoming Rocky Mountains, Wind River Range, Teton Range and Cascades. This course is typically a two day course intended to prepare the student to understand the basic principles of mountaineering and to build knowledge base for mountaineering II course.

 

These guided adventures include seminars on snow cave construction and winter high-altitude camping, including pre-Denali and pre-Mount Rainier training camps, winter snowshoe & summer hiking treks, and education in glacier travel and crevasse rescue.
